*ELECTION PETITION TRIBUNAL IN CROSS* *RIVER STATE RECEIVES CASES FROM* *NDOMA-EGBA, PRINCE OTU, NINE OTHERS* BY: Nsa Gill The Election Petition Tribunal for Cross River State has so far received eleven petitions challenging the outcome of the last General elections in the state. The petitions received so far are only for the National Assembly elections held on February 23rd, 2019. According to the Secretary of the Election Petition Tribunal in the state, Mrs Josephine Ekperobe the time frame to file a petition for the National Assembly elections elapsed on March 17th but the time is still open for the filing of any petition about the Governorship and State Assembly elections. Mrs Ekperobe disclosed that formal inauguration of the tribunal would be done soon. “We will inform the media and sitting will commence shortly after” she added. BREAKING: COURT SACKS AYADE, REPLACES HIM WITH EMMANUEL IBESHI.

*BREAKING: C/River: Appeal Court  upholds Emmanuel Ibeshi  as PDP candidate* By Benjamin Lukeman, lagos   March  6, 2019 The Court of Appeal sitting in lagos on Wednesday granted an Order which replaces Ben Ayade of the PDP With Emmanuel Ibeshi as candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State. The panel of three Judges headed by M.M. Amadi ordered that the PDP does not have the constitutionl powers to withdraw Ibeshi rights to Vote and be Voted for,  and hence Ayade was not a Candidate in the premise that he did not contest primaries. The three judges in the panel unanimously agreed that in suit No CA/C/52/2019 The judge also went further to pronounce that candidate from the list submitted by PDP NWC should not be recognized by INEC.
